AWD Motorsports Porsche 997 GT3.. 397whp!!!
Tuesday, 19 January 2010 05:50

Ok guys we finally got a chance to dyno our GT3.. We have recently moved into our new location.. Normally i would have before and after #'s as thats the way i like to do testing but i was over anxious and modded the car before our dyno was reinstalled in the new shop.. I have some #'s however from another 997 GT3 with Headers, Intake, Chip & Exhaust to give you an idea of what these cars put out on our dyno.. Its pretty clear the car has picked up some HP vs what a stock 997 Gt3 makes.. The tune is PERFECT all motor.. It also shows that EVOMS spent some time tuning these cars.. In 4th gear the car goes richer as it should when it sees more load which is perfect for Road Racing conditions..

Below are the mods on the car..

Sharkwerks Race Exhaust System ( Stock Header & Cats )

EVOMSit Software

BMC Filter

Brian's Evo X.. +26whp Cat Delete!!!!

Brian had some unfortunate luck with his car over the past few months. After getting a few minor bolt ons and a custom tune at another shop, Brian's car ending up blowing the bottom end. After managing to get the motor covered under warranty, Brian got word of our shop and decided to bring it by to have us look over the car, and freshen up the tune. After a quick tour of the shop, seeing the multiple 700+ hp evo's in the shop, Brian could see he came to the right place.

Brian's car came in with the following mods:

HKS Catback

HKS Downpipe

HkS Intake

We quickly installed a boost controller and got the tuning under way. After looking over the mapping in the ecu, and being unimpressed to say the least, I opted out of making a baseline pull on his previous mapping. It is always nice to have a baseline pull to work against, but in a car that may or may not have lost the motor due to bad tuning, i dont feel its worth the risk.

After a few pulls, fine tuning the fuel, mivec and timing maps, i could feel that something was holding us back. Something just didnt feel right to me. So i decided to peak my head under the car and sure enough, STOCK CAT.
